Object Menus

The Object menu includes general controls for TinkerPlots objects (plots, samplers, data cards, and so on).  You can access all the object-specific commands here that are also included in each object's Options menu. This is how the Object menu appears on Windows:

Object

New

Inserts the object you choose into the document. For sliders and pictures, which aren't on the object toolbar, this is one way to insert them into the document.

Data Cards

Access commands specific to data cards (also available in the data card's Option menu).

Case Table

Access commands specific to case table (also available in the case table's Option menu).

Plot

Access commands specific to the plot (also available in the plot's Option menu).

Sampler

Access commands specific to the sampler (also available in the sampler's Option menu).

Picture

Option to fit picture to frame.

Slider

Change slider's number format.

Inspect Object

Opens an object's inspector, which includes additional options and controls. (Plots don't have inspectors.)

Duplicate Object

Makes an exact copy of the selected object and places it in the document. This is especially useful for making a duplicate of a plot.

Delete Object

Deletes the selected object. Use this to eliminate unwanted objects such as data cards, plots, text boxes, and so on. You can also select the object and press the Delete key.

Hide Object

Hides the selected object from view. It does not eliminate any of the selected objects from the document.

Show Hidden Objects

Unhides any hidden objects in the document.

View in Window

Opens the selected object in its own floating window.
